With our project, we aim at achieving awareness towards environmental awareness, democratic participation, inclusive education and active citizenship. Our strength lies in the sharing of the phenomenon that all the partnership members have to face every year, so we are strongly motivated. Therefore, there is a deep correspondence between the projects objectives and our needs. For a long time the issue of environmental education was marginally managed in our institutions or was only related to general themes and little attention has been paid particularly to the forest fires prevention issue, that was only considered as the responsibility of state/regional/local authorities.
We want to want to work on a wider scale at European, national and local level, involving new countries with the same needs and also stakeholders of the territory as associated partners that can strongly contribute to the project implementation: Universities, Municipalities, environmental associations, Local sections of Civic Protection, local media. Moreover, we aim at enhancing active citizenship in our students so that they become the responsible citizens of tomorrow. We trust empowerment for all the participants, awareness and sensitivity towards environmental issues for preventing forest fires, protecting green areas and forestry, fighting against deforestation and climate changes.

We will improve democratic participation, inclusive teaching, the involvement of pupils with fewer opportunities, promoting active engagement of all members of the school communities by means of two prevention campaigns in the two year project, demonstrations by slogans and banners. In addition we want to develop critical thinking using debating, games, escape rooms as problem solving techniques can be used for facing and fighting the most important challenges of our planet. Obviously we can't provide solutions for the world disasters such as deforestation or climate changes but we could indicate the way for the action and the change of attitudes because the indifference and resignation would be the worst evil. So we will try a cultural revolution according to the principles which form the basis of the Agenda 2030 and its sustainable goals leading to a further cooperation with environmental groups and associations able to anchor our schools to the territory and community.
