The Antalya trip was unlike anything I've ever done! Learning from firefighters about preventing forest fires was both exciting and educational. The simulations made me realize the importance of quick action. I can't wait to share this knowledge with my friends and family. The visit to landmark sites was an unforgettable experience. Being hosted by my Turkish peer and his family was a terrific experience and an honor for me. Thank you for everything!

The workshops in Lisbon on forest ecosystem protection were very interesting. We learned about different threats forests face and how to manage them responsibly. The visit to the Monsanto Information Center was fascinating, and I'm now a huge advocate for sustainable development through the protection of ecosystems. George - Greece |
Hi there! My name is Maja and I’m one of the students from Poland who had the pleasure to take part in one of the mobilities and thanks to the Erasmus project I got the chance to visit Spain last year. I really enjoyed my trip. It's one of the memories I like to go back to, thanks to that journey I met lots of people and I learned many things; for example I got to know my Erasmus friends' cultures better and I also learned some new, foreign words that I still remember. My favorite memory is the trip to Granada and our visit to the Alhambra castle. Even though my trip to Spain was over a year ago I still remember the palace and the gardens, which were my most favorite part of the entire tour, quite vividly and I love to go back to all the pictures I took there. I’m very grateful for the opportunity to join the Erasmus project and if I ever got another chance to take part in a project like this I would gladly take it!
I never thought forest fire prevention could be so interesting! The workshops in Antalya were engaging, and the instructors were passionate. We even learned about using drones for fire detection! Exploring the beautiful sites was a fantastic way to unwind after a productive day. I feel so grateful for the family that hosted me because they made me me feel at home... Konstantinos - Greece |
Hi! My name is Kasia, I’m from Poland and during the Erasmus project I visited Portugal. There, I met a lot of lovely people whom I still miss. The experience was wonderful, I was able to see many beautiful places, try different cuisine and immerse in entirely different culture. The host family was very nice, and I wish I could see them again! The best thing about the entire trip was definitely the people I met and became friends with. My ability to speak English also improved and I began to feel more confident with the spoken language. If I ever get a chance to participate in another Erasmus project, I’ll sign up with no hesitation.

The program in Almeria on deforestation was a real eye-opener. The presentations by people well in control of their expertise were clear and informative, and the discussions highlighted the urgency of taking action. We learned how deforestation puts everybody's future at risk and I'm determined to spread awareness back home. Moreover, I really loved the Spanish culture, the warmth in their behavior, the amazing Alhambra and the spectacular Capo di Gato (a dream came true - I so badly wanted to see the hiding place of the Professor of Casa di Papel !!!). As for the food and, above all, their hospitality... I have made friendships to last in the coming years

The experience I had during the ERASMUS Project "Forest Fire Prevention" was very enriching for me both professionally and socially. During the mobility from Turkey I had the opportunity to develop my intercultural and social skills, as communication with the students involved in the project is essential. On the same trip I also gained cultural knowledge related to the visited country and professional knowledge, related to the theme of the project, transmitted by lectures and workshops and activities carried out. |
During the mobility in Portugal, in the week in which the foreign students were in our country, I also had the possibility to develop the same aspects, this time showing students of other nationalities our country and culture.
In short, in my opinion the ERASMUS Project positively exceeded my expectations and was an excellent opportunity for me to become a more qualified and aware professional when it comes to environmental and cultural issues.

The Erasmus activities on climate change and forest fires in Barcellona Pozzo di Gotto were a unique learning experience. We participated in workshops that were inspiring, and I'm eager to get involved in tree-planting initiatives back home. Medea, my host, and her parents treated me as a loved family member and I'll never forget their care and warmth... Yulia - Greece |
Hi everyone, my name is Gaia and I participated in a student mobility to Italy (Sicily). Thanks to the 5 days there I build amazing relationships and create beautiful memories. I really enjoyed the host family who made me feel like I'm at home and school students who were very nice to me. With that exchange I was able to broaden my horizons and learn more English language. Thank you for the opportunity:). P.S This is one of my favorite photos from Sicily.

The Erasmus program in Sicily completely changed our view on climate change. We saw firsthand the devastation it causes and learned about the importance of preserving existing forests. The workshops were very formative. We can't wait to get involved in similar projects back home. The delicious Sicilian food and the warm hospitality of the people made the trip even more special and unforgettable.

Hello, My name is Kinga an in October I took part in a mobility to Lisbon. Thanks to my visit in Portugal I got to know new culture, traditions and taste some of it’s cuisine. I also experienced a bit of daily life of Portuguese people. I’m full of amazing memories with my host family and other people not only from Portugal but from around the world, I would be very happy if I met them once again. If I got a chance I would also love to be a part of another Erasmus project, visit different countries and meet new friends

The Erasmus program in Almeria was incredible! We learned so much about forest fire prevention techniques from firefighters. The simulations were realistic and helped us understand the importance of quick response. I'm excited to share this knowledge with my community and help prevent future wildfires. As for the trips to Alhambra and Cabo de Gata Natural Park, I have no adequate words to tell you about my enthusiasm. Thank you all for making this trip an exceptional memory for me. The trip to Antalya was a perfect blend of learning and fun. The workshops were engaging and the instructors were knowledgeable. We even learned about using technology like drones for early fire detection. Exploring the breathtaking scenery of Antalya was an unforgettable way to end the program. I will always remember the last day, when we parted with our Turkish friends and we were hugging crying because we had to part... Vaso A. - Greece |
Hi, my name is Diana, I went on Erasmus to Antalya in Türkiye, it was within the scope of the Forest Fire project, it was a unique experience. On this trip we can learn a little more about Turkish culture, we got to know the city, we tried several typical foods and visited several monuments, it was super interesting. I think these Erasmus trips are very good for developing our level of English and interacting with people from different countries. The experience of staying in Turkish people's homes was super cool and interesting because they really had Turkish customs. I feel like I learned better how to manage being alone because they spoke almost no English, which was a bit difficult. In short, it was a super fun adventure and I hope other people can have these experiences like I did.
The Lisbon experience on learning how to protect forest ecosystems was truly inspiring. We participated in workshops on sustainable forestry practices and learned about the importance of responsible forest management. Lisbon is such an amazing city. The delicious Portuguese custard tarts were a delightful treat!

Hi everyone, my name is Dorota and I've had the honour to be part of this project as a teacher. It's been my first Erasmus project ever and I consider myself really lucky to have met such a wonderful bunch of people from whom I've learnt a lot, with whom I had an unforgettable time talking, laughing, sightseeing and of course, doing project tasks. Each mobility was a wonderful experience, every person I met brought something new into my life, and every photo I took will always remind me of the moments we spent together. I'm sad that the project is over but I do hope that Erasmus will bring us together again soon. My dear Erasmus friends, you have a special place in my heart.

Participating in the Erasmus project on Forest Fire Prevention has been a transformative journey, one that has left an indelible mark on my perspective and understanding of environmental stewardship, cultural exchange, and European cooperation. Through five enriching mobilities, starting with a transnational meeting of teachers in Lublin, Poland, and followed by student mobilities to Lisbon, Almeria, Sicily, and Turkey, I've had the privilege of witnessing firsthand the power of collaboration and shared commitment to forest fire prevention. One of the most significant gains of participating in this project has been the cultivation of a deep sense of sustainability. By learning about innovative strategies and best practices in forest management and fire prevention from our European counterparts, we have become equipped with the knowledge and tools to actively protect our natural ecosystems. From controlled burns to community outreach programs, each mobility has contributed to our collective efforts in safeguarding our forests for future generations. Moreover, the project has fostered profound cultural bonding and the forging of friendships across borders. As we navigated through different countries and immersed ourselves in diverse cultures, we discovered the richness and diversity of European heritage. Sharing meals, stories, and experiences with fellow participants from Portugal, Spain, Italy, and Turkey has not only deepened our appreciation for cultural diversity but has also strengthened the bonds of friendship that transcend geographical boundaries. Furthermore, this project has played a pivotal role in enhancing our European identity through cooperation. By working collaboratively with students and teachers from different countries, we have realized the importance of unity and solidarity in addressing common challenges. Through dialogue, exchange, and joint action, we have come to see ourselves not just as citizens of our respective nations, but as integral members of a larger European community united by shared values and aspirations. In conclusion, participating in the Erasmus project on forest fire prevention has been a profoundly enriching experience that has broadened my horizons, deepened my understanding of sustainability and cultural diversity, and strengthened my sense of European identity. As we continue to collaborate and work towards our common goals, I am filled with hope and optimism for the future of our forests and our continent. Maria Dimitriadou - Teacher, Greece |
This was my first time participating in an Erasmus+ program. The experience was unique and I think all teachers and students should live it at least once.
Concerning our school activities, we organized several seminars and educational visits to enrich ours and our students’ knowledge about forest fire prevention, opening our school to the local community. Learning how people organize prevention or fight against forest fires made us more thoughtful about the forests and the environment. I took part in 2 mobilities, in Antalya and in Almeria. Both of them were exceptionally organized by the host schools and let us with the best memories and new lifetime friends. We had the great opportunity to learn how our counterpart’s schools work in their everyday schedule, to explore the nature and significant monuments of the regions visited and, of course, see the way their fire departments fight against forest fires, through demonstrations. What I gained through this project? Many wonderful experiences, new friends, new knowledge…it has been a transformative journey through cultural exchange, respect for others, awareness for the environment and sustainability, enhancement of the meaning of European cooperation and identity and of course new ideas to teach, to interact and to behave for a better future for our students and our planet! Thank you all for this opportunity! Eri Meitanidou - Teacher, Greece |
My name is Olga, I’m from Poland and I participated in an exchange project in Sicily. It was amazing time for me and my host family, even though I visited Italy almost 3 months ago we still have contact with people from other countries. One of my favourite memory from this trip is walking through small village and eating oranges and lemons picked from trees. It was before going to local arcane, where we had been playing billard, bowling and ping-pong. This project gave me more confidence to talk in English and a possibility to meet other cultures. It was one of the best experiences in my life!

Being part of Erasmus was one of the best experiences I had this academic year. It helped me a lot with better communication and English, and also with how to deal with new people and experiences. I had a great adventure in Sicily with three other colleagues and two teachers. It was a week full of laughter and laughter that allowed us to live outside our reality. Doing Erasmus is not about going traveling, it is also about creating bonds and friendships, which allow us to have a better experience. I stayed with a family, where I was able to learn several different things, from their customs to their daily routine. They were attentive and always ready to help from the day I arrived until the day I left. We visited 2 cities within Sicily, where we had the opportunity to eat and do different things. When it came to the end of the week, no one wanted to leave, we cried a lot. And so we said goodbye to our host families. Finally, going to Erasmus was a truly incredible experience, if I have the opportunity to go again, I will gladly go all over the world.

Hi, My name is Kinga, in May 2023 I had a chance to participate in an Erasmus+ mobility to Almería in Spain.During this journey I had an opportunity to try new things, taste local food and learn about their traditions. Living with a Spanish family for that week showed me how their life looks like and how different it is than mine. It was awesome to spend time with my hosts and share our own cultural experiences and differences. Thanks to this trip I improved my english and awareness about Spanish culture. It also left me with unforgettable memories and new friends from different countries. I love you guys!

My name is Magda and I am a teacher from Poland. About 10 years ago, as a student, I participated in the Comenius program. I was very happy that now, as a teacher, I will have the opportunity to take part in the Erasmus Plus program. I have many beautiful memories from participating in project meetings and it is very difficult for me to choose the best one. However, I am sure that thanks to participating in this project, I met many wonderful people, I had the opportunity to learn about the culture, history and cuisine of the countries we cooperated with, and I started to speak English more fluently. I am sorry that our project has come to an end, but I hope that we will have another opportunity to work together.

Hello, I'm Magda, an English teacher. I was given the opportunity to participate in two mobilities - in Turkey and Italy. I regularly recall some moments from these trips, especially the time spent on getting to know wonderful people who, although so different, managed to find a common ground and have fun together 🙂 The experience enabled me to discover the beauty of remote places and to immerse myself in new cultures. I feel deeply grateful for such a memorable break from the daily routine. Love from Poland 😘
Hi, I'm Ola. I took part in students mobility to Spain.
It was the most memorable and exciting thing I've ever had a chance to do. I met a lot of kind, creative and friendly people there. My favorite memory from mobility to Spain was definitely trip to Granada. Architecture and atmosphere of the Alhambra and the city centre of Grenada were absolutely breathtaking. The inspiring designs of this beautiful palace left a lasting impression on me. Also, exploring the city center of Granada with other students was surely a memorable experience. We discovered charming streets, traditional restaurants, and rich cultural heritage together, making the trip educational and entertaining. I am very thankful, I had the opportunity to take part in this wonderful adventure that I'll never forget. |

The project was good, because it allows us to have incredible experiences, I personally really liked the project and I hope they continue with this Erasmus project, because what we experienced in the short time of a week on Erasmus perhaps we wouldn't experience on the normal trip, I really liked it having gone traveling, my experience was incredible, I loved it 💯

Greetings from Lisbon, Portugal! My name is Cristina and I'm the Portuguese local coordinator of this project. My school took part in this project because, unfortunately, wild fires are a tragedy in my country every year. I firmly believe we all can do a small part to change things. That's why I engaged students and colleagues to embrace this cause and take it as a community responsibility for the the sake of our common future. I loved meeting partners and visiting their schools as well as learning a bit more about their country and cultural background. This is what Erasmus invite us to do. To walk on someone else's shoes and learn to understand and respect their environment despite differences. Although this project has reached its end, I hope to work with you all in the future! Thank you so much for all the experiences. That's what makes us grow as human beings and deepen our bonds. Farewell!
